LENS-ETU is the partnership between the League of Elarian Nations (LENS) and the Elarian Trade Union (ETU). Both are extremely related, both having been founded in the Empire of Ela’r’oech. LENS-ETU is not an organization on it’s own, as it is simply a name used for the joint organizations. The LENS and the ETU were originally going to be one organization, however it was decided that they should be separate because the LENS specialized in military alliances while the ETU specialized in foreign aid, development, and exchange. Both use United Trade International as their banking service and members of the LENS also have to be members of the ETU.
The League of Elarian Nations (abbreviated as LENS) was an invitation-only micronational organization officially founded on 3 November, 2020. The headquarters were located in the discord server, however the physical location of Ela’r’oech is often used for livestreams where members can hold discussions, etc. As of 3 November, the LENS held 5 member states. Starting on 1 December 2020, each member state was given a code. They were eventually dissolved in 2021 for inactivity and no interest. However, the idea of a trade union between members of LENS or simply Elarian allied nations was thought of since late 2020, however there was little interest at the time. Later on, in 2021, when CHASM was founded, there were talks of a trade union briefly between some of the members, however nothing came of it. Eventually, it had been discovered that an Elarian Trade Union would be created when it was leaked that Charles had been talking about the idea on numerous occasions. It was founded around two weeks after the initial leaks and it was decided that it would be founded on 18 August 2022.
Hopefully, these two organizations can work strong together. It seems the ETU will be like the European Union and the LENS will be like a NATO protecting the member states of the union.
