WARNING: ELA’R’OECH NEWS SOURCE IS BIASED TOWARDS THE CAROLINIANS
A bad name for an article, right?
Well, the Ela’r’oech Monarchy Power Dispute still isn’t over, but ENS is. After over a year of hard work here at the studio, it’s time to shut down. This is, of course, not legally official. More of a strike on our workers behalf.
The power dispute came to a head with the Madgett v Ela’r’oech court case which ended with the decision as follows.
“Firstly, this court acknowledges that the government made appropriate actions with regard to the election of Queen Christina as monarch of Ela’r’oech, that the election was done in accordance with all presently existing and effective legislation, statutes, and constitutional documents. Secondly, it is acknowledged by this court that Christina did in fact possess the qualifications to be made monarch by the constitution and legal instruments of the Kingdom of Ela’r’oech. Finally, due to the sensitivity of this matter to the stability and continuation of the state, I would like to recommend to the government that, although not legally required, a non-binding, popular referendum on the continuation of Christina as Queen be held at the same time as the special election for the four remaining vacant seats of the Parliament. Christina was confirmed as the legal monarch, however a non-binding referendum was recommended to be held by the government to gain knowledge of the popular opinion of Christina as monarch.”
Why do we state this as the death of Ela’r’oech? Well it may not be the death of the nation, but it is the death of it’s culture.
Ela’r’oech’s culture is built on essentially being different. Ela’r’oech is a micronation, different. It’s name comes from multiple languages, one created by the founder, which is different. It didn’t seem to like the Microwiki discord members or Microwiki as a community either. Is that different? While there’s many “anti-establishment” micronations, as it’s in their root. Ela’r’oech was different.
Whereas other micronations wanted to help other micronations, Ela’r’oech wanted to help itself, above all. Charles never hid this. No one did. It was accepted.
But now, we have people from the same community that this nation despises, joining and becoming parts of the government.
Unfortunately, we must blame Charles. It was his fault we got here, his negligence brought this about. However, in ENS’ eyes, he will always be Ela’r’oech’s King.
